Although all projects are special in some way, there are some that stand out for being especially meaningful. Retrosailor is a perfect example of this. As a project where I had total creative freedom, I was able to develop the concept and design around something I am passionate about: surfing. Additionally, being located in Sagres, one of my favorite places, made this project even more special to me. Retrosailor is a shop that reflects my passion for surfing and my admiration for Sagres.

Retrosailor is everything but a traditional surf shop. Created with the concept of “Surf Culture & Design shop,” it is a store designed not only for surfers but also for those looking for something different, exclusive, and fully representative of its location – Sagres. It is a space that seeks to satisfy a more demanding customer, offering an integrated view of surfing and the territory, with a cultural and innovative aspect in the form of products but based on the past, combining surfing with a tribute to the sea and the importance it has in our lives. Among other products, it offers alternative surfboards, handmade skateboards, clothing, exclusive merchandise, art, books, posters, postcards, and local products. Retrosailor was designed for a free-spirited, creative, and interested customer.
