Senhora da Rosa, tradition & Nature Hotel
The creation of this logo for a hotel recovery project in the Azores was a great challenge. The briefing was to create an identity that represented local nature and tradition, but that was also modern and elegant.
I started by researching the region’s flora and with that information in mind, I began working on some sketches for the logo. I wanted to create something that was simple and detailed at the same time, but that also conveyed my clients’ message.
There was also a need to create specific identities for specific sections of the project such as the SPA, the restaurant, or the roof top. I chose, together with the client, a color palette that reminded us of the Azorean landscapes, with monochromatic shades of green, ochre, and gray, representing the importance of nature and the conservation of local flora, geography, and architecture.
With the combination of these elements, a traditional yet timeless logo was created, which represents the message that my clients wanted to convey.
